The movie has already been premiered at the 2010 British Film Institute London Film Festival and South Asian International Film Festival. Irrfan Khan says that this is the most physically and mentally challenging film, something that he has never done before because it is based on a true story. In our country, most people who want to live their dream are obligated to face so many hurdles to prove what they can do and this movie introduces one such young man. Paan Singh Tomar, basically a farmer from a small town of Madhay Pardesh, is in poor economical conditions. He joined the Bengal Engineers to improve his economical conditions and tried his luck in Sports. He succeeded in his efforts and wins a title at Indian National Games continuously for seven years.
He causes mass destruction in the valley and becomes a threat for everyone. The film is shot in Chambal and also in the uphills in the oldest army cantonments in Roorkee. Irrfan Khan has trained rigorously and even broke his ankle during the filming. The music is given by Abhishek Ray. UTV Motion Pictures and UTV Spotboy Motion Pictures has the distribution rights of this interesting movie. Paan Singh Tomar Review didn’t go as good as they were expected.
